Batteries are in so many items that we use everyday and you really cannot get away from them these days. If you don’t already use rechargeable batteries in your home accessories and items you should be. Not only will you be doing good for the environment, but buying rechargeable batteries will save you money in the long run. I started buying rechargeable batteries a couple years ago and I am very happy with them and I have not found any reason why not to use them.

Rechargeable batteries last longer than than a alkaline batteries and they can be recharged 100′s of times before they will stop working. I decided to buy rechargeable batteries when I had my daughter who is now almost 2. She had so many toys and gadgets and such that needed batteries that I would have been buying new alkaline batteries all the time and spending lots of money. So instead of buying alkaline batteries that just get thrown into the landfill I bought rechargeable batteries in bulk and a universal battery charger. This way I have extra batteries ready in case the battery’s in a item I have get low.

Recharging batteries is so easy, all you do is place them in a battery charger, plug into an outlet and viola. Some chargers and battery styles take only 15 minutes to charge and some others take longer. I have both styles and they both work great. I would recommend buying Energizer rechargeable batteries in all sizes from AAA to D. You never know what kind of batteries a product will take or how many.

Buying rechargeable batteries will be more of an upfront cost, but will save you money in the long run guaranteed. I have not had to buy regular batteries in over one year because I have rechargeable batteries and I do not plan on buying any more batteries for a while.

I recommend buying your rechargeable batteries at BestBuy or Amazon.com. Amazon has the lowest prices and they also sell a universal charger which will charge any battery size at the same time.
