Grocery Store Greenhouse
If you like to grow your own vegetables and flowers from seed, than I am sure you know how hard it is to grow during these cold winter months. Seeds need warmth, sun and water and these days are providing some sun and not much warmth. If you do not have a greenhouse in your backyard, which most of us do not, you can make your very own greenhouse indoors. My Step Mother has come up with a great way to grow her seeds in the winter indoors and at little to no cost too. She recycles her plastic salad containers and uses them as little mini greenhouses. All you need to do is buy the lettuce that comes in the clear plastic containers versus a plastic bag. Once you have used your lettuce up you can turn the container into a greenhouse. Just place soil inside one half of the plastic container, place your seeds and close the top. Place in a window that gets sun and or under a grow light. Water and watch your little seeds sprout in no time. Once the sprouts are ready for soil you can plant them outdoors this Spring.
